About the author
Gene Jackson is the author of The Pew Warmers, "Reflections along the Way," which appeared weekly in two Alabama newspapers,
and of a memoir, Good Times, Bad Times, Ugly Times,...That's Life!
A graduate of California Baptist University and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary,
he has varied vocational backgrounds in the fields of education, agriculture, private enterprise,
and the Christian ministry. He has served churches in Florida, Alabama, California, and the state of Washington.
The author was born in a small town in South Georgia, USA,
living his life there until almost twelve years of age. Moving with his family to Atlanta,
he entered junior high school almost at the time that World World II was beginning.
Before finishing high school, he entered the military, becoming aware that there was
another world that existed outside familiar connections.
This was the beginning of his journey that took him around the world several times before his
semi-retirement at the age of seventy.
